Taz was discharged from the hospital on Saturday, September 21! He will be starting rehab both at home as well as at an outside facility. Please continue to pray that this transition home will go well, and that Taz will stay motivated to continue his exercises and therapy that need to be done.

Update from the Espinozas
Dear praying friends,
“In Him and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.” Ephesians 3:12
How incredible that we can approach God freely and with the confidence that He will gladly listen to our requests! We have seen Him delight in answering our prayers and helping us with our plans these last few months.
During Becky Ortega’s time in Canada…

Taz & Lorissa Martin
Taz was transferred to Listowel hospital last week! Taz has continued to show improvements, and has been up and walking around with a walker. Lorissa was also able to take Dominic, Taz and Lorissa’s son, to visit Taz for the first time since the accident, and this visit went well! Please continue to pray for healing for Taz, and that he would come back as the same Taz as before the accident.
Joanne Vandenburg
Please continue to pray for Joanne’s cousin, she was moved to hospice care today.
Peggy Dhingra
Please pray for Peggy. She fell on the weekend and broke a couple of ribs. She is recovering at her son's place in St. Mary’s. She is grateful for the care and concern of the WBC Family!
Wayne Hockley
Your prayers and God’s goodness are making a difference for me. Thank you! The Doctor was pleased and so far my pain level has been lower than expected. Recovery takes time - so one handed typing will be the norm for awhile. I appreciate all of you. It’s such a blessing to be in the WBC church family.
Ron & Fern Martin
We would like to thank all who helped with setting up tables & chairs for my dad’s funeral reception. It was greatly appreciated!
Wayne & Peg Hockley
Please pray for me, as I am having a minor surgical procedure this morning (Friday) on my shoulder. Please pray for the procedure itself and the good team of doctors and nurses, but also pray for the recovery process and for patience for me as there will be a number of things I won't be able to do for a while, and for Peg as she helps me navigate through the recovery. Thank you for caring and praying for me.
Rick & Joy Frey
Joy writes: Just a quick update as to my health issues. Many know I have been struggling with the Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) for a number of years, trying different medications to make the disease go into remission, suffering side effects with little to no positive results. Then last February I learned how to self inject my medication and this helped alleviate some of the nausea I had been experiencing when taking the same medication via pill form.
Yesterday I had an appointment at my Rheumatologist and I feel good with the diagnoses she gave me. She feels that my RA is mostly in remission and that the medication I am taking is doing what it is supposed to do. So I praise God for this. Though I still live in almost constant pain daily, she feels it is no longer from my RA, but the Osteoarthritis which has "made itself at home" in my RA damaged joints. (I remain on my RA medication which is working to protect my joints from further damage and I can keep the pain manageable with my pain medication).
The damaged joints can be protected but will not heal, so I may look into getting " finger joint support rings" to help alleviate some of the stress on the joints - when people insist on "shaking hands" LOL (yi-yi-yi- that is one thing I absolutely do not enjoy..."always explaining why I don't want to shake hands".....). So all in all I am plucking along and managing quite well. Thank you to all who pray for me, it is my life line, my security blanket, I couldn't do this without the power of prayer. As you pray for both Rick and I - remember Rick especially, he feels very much alone from Sunday evening 5:00 when I take my medication until Tuesday morning when I emerge out of my medication fog to start my week.
I have long ago accepted the fact that "this thorn is the flesh is not going away, but that His grace is sufficient for me"2 Corinthians 12: 7-10 and I am rejoicing in His faithfulness that "before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey His Word. God is good and what He does is good..His hands formed me and made me as I am, and I have put my hope in His word, because I know in His faithfulness He has afflicted me and in His unfailing love I take comfort. That's His promise to me, His servant." Psalms 119:66-76

Taz & Lorissa Martin
Taz has been diagnosed with Level 3 Axonal Shearing, which means neurons have been torn from their tether to the brain stem. Level 1 is the least injury, level 3 is the worst. Taz will be hospitalized for months and will have deficits, but no one can predict what those will be. He will need intensive therapy, and changes will happen for up to a year. Taz remains slightly sedated, but is in stable condition. He is being fed through a feeding tube, and responds when asked to wiggle his toes, squeeze a hand, or open his eyes. Please continue to pray for healing for Taz, and for strength and peace for Lorissa and their son Dominic, along with the rest of the family.
Ron & Win Seabrooke
Ron wrote Sunday afternoon: “As many will be aware I missed church today and preaching. Rare for me! I was under doctor's directions to go to St. Mary's hospital for some tests. I had a few incidents of chest pain which started while in Africa. I had another this morning. I am home and was released after a couple of hours. They did not find anything which concerned them. I am scheduled for a stress test this week. I will also have to go for further appointments as we seem to have ruled out the heart but still do not know what is causing the pain. Pray for wisdom for the doctors. It would be nice to figure this out. Except for very short and very infrequent chest pain I feel quite normal and healthy.”
Gord Bechtel
Please pray for Gord Bechtel as he is concerned for his oldest sister who is in hospital with serious health concerns.
