Ray & Carol Jones
Dear family and friends,
Carol and I continue to press on by the Lord's grace and manage to keep very busy. This coming weekend I will be speaking at a conference that we started some years ago called Committing To Faithful Men. The object is to get younger men involved in the Lord's ministry within and from their local church.
In a usually vain attempt to cut back, I'm now trying to book every other Sunday, rather than every week. At eighty-four, despite being reasonably sound mentally, I find that physically it's a bit more difficult at times. However, it is a real joy and delight to continue to minister in so many local churches amongst those who I love and keep wanting me back. Carol continues to deal with the ongoing health issues that have burdened her for many, many years. Thank you to those who so faithfully pray for us. The Lord hears and answers, which is why we have been able to keep going in His service for over fifty years.
Speaking of years, or should I say decades? On the thirteenth of this month, we will have been married for sixty years!
All for now. With warmest love, Ray and Carol
I continue to write for Choice Gleanings Calendar:
If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. Joh 14:3
Serving the Lord overseas sometimes, happily, results in going home. But all the excitement and anticipation pales in comparison to that precious moment when one enters the room and comes face to face with a beloved parent. The Lord’s desire is simply that He wants us to be with Him where He is! One Day, those who are saved we will indeed be Face to face with our Lord and Saviour. – Ray Jones
Yet it must be: Thy love had not its rest
Were Thy redeemed not with Thee fully blest;
That love that gives not as the world, but shares
All it possesses with its loved co-heirs.
John Nelson Darby
