Ray & Carol Jones
Dear friends and family,
I realize that it's probably way past the time we let you know what's happening with us, isn't it?
Well, we're not getting old; that has passed! :) Carol is eighty two and I'm eighty-four in a month. We're OK and I'm still very active with speaking most Sundays and other times, besides involvement with the board of guelphbiblecc.com. Carol has recovered from a tough bout with shingles but unfortunately has been left with some hearing difficulties. This certainly makes conversation and communication somewhat 'interesting,' at times. :) I'm Ok but do find getting going in the morning somewhat slow, particularly as I often have quite a distance to go to where I'm speaking. However.....we are very, very thankful to the Lord for still being able to serve Him and continue in ministry! We are also very, very thankful to all of you who pray for us and have supported us over so many years. Actually, it is now over fifty years since we left England's shores for the mission field. We stepped out by faith trusting Him to supply our every need and 'great is His faithfulness.' Almost all of the precious folk who have stood with us have gone to be with the Lord or we've lost contact with, for various reasons. But One Day there will be a tremendous reunion in heaven, with The Lord Himself being in the very centre.
August 10 will be and reminder of younger years with YL and beach missions. In the morning I'm speaking in a city quite close, then in the evening I get to preach at an open air meeting about three quarters of an hour from here. Actually, it's a 'drive-in' meeting where cars face a platform. The first half a music group plays then the second half I get to preach the gospel for the second half. I've done it before and there could be sixty/seventy cars there. Please pray.
Well, that's about all for now.
Yours in Christ's service;
Ray and Carol
