School of Discipleship
Discipleship is becoming like Jesus by living in relationship with Him and His people and joining Him in His mission to make disciples.
We prioritize discipleship environments and are pleased to offer the WBC School of Discipleship. Our goal is to equip Christians to engage thoughtfully with Scripture, deepen their biblical knowledge and grow in spiritual maturity as they apply these truths to their lives.
Learn with the School of Discipleship!
The School of Discipleship offers six distinct tracks of classes, each designed with a three-level progression. The levels build intentionally on one another—Level 100 typically serves as a foundation for the more advanced Level 200 and Level 300 courses. Each course is designed with flexibility in mind, offering varying levels of outside-of-class commitment to accommodate different learning paces and life rhythms.

Foundational Class: How to Study the Bible
This course explores key topics such as the nature of Scripture, biblical genres, literary and historical context, observation, interpretation, and application. Students will also learn how theology shapes Bible study and how the grand narrative of redemption runs through all of Scripture.
Throughout the course, students will engage in hands-on practice by applying these techniques to the book of Colossians—developing both skill and insight as they observe, interpret, and apply its message in light of Christ. Whether you’re new to the Bible or seeking to grow in your ability to handle it rightly, this course will help you approach Scripture with both reverence and skill.
*Recommended prerequisite for all School of Discipleship Classes.
